I love to shoot people getting married and to be involved with what is invariably a wonderful day.
I feel strongly that every wedding should be fresh and individually tailored to the bride and groom. I fiercely avoid shooting weddings over and over, week in, week out, as I never want them to become a repetitive chore where the end product all looks the same - how do you shoot 40 weddings a year and still keep it personal and special? The great fun of shooting a couple on their biggest of days is getting to know them and understanding between you exactly what is wanted from the images . For this reason I keep the number of weddings I shoot to a limit, and make sure I have whatever time is needed by the happy couple to meet up in advance of the day, make sure I have visited and surveyed the venue, and generally can be available as needed during the planning stages.
I shoot all formals and portraits with a medium format high resolution camera and with an assistant as a minimum to help with portable lighting. I also often work with another fully independent and very experienced wedding photographer in his own right, and we stay with you all through your day. This is a much better option, giving you much better coverage, including preparation for both bride and groom parties, and 2 perspectives on the most important part of the day, your ceremony. It also means many more of the happy spontaneous moments that happen throughout your wedding will be captured - if the small increase in cost is manageable, I highly recommend having two photographers, and I work hard to keep the cost of this down as the results are invariably worth it.

We work with multiple portable lighting setups for your feature shots and your beautiful formal wedding portraits, and then capture the rest of your day with an informal and relaxed editorial tone. Image finishing can be to your taste and we can discuss that ahead of your big day. Whilst we understand that your will of course want to have shots with parents and bride and groom parties, endless lists of family combinations stood stiffly in a row never makes for great wedding photography, and we'd much rather find some striking wedding portraiture, some informal moments captured through the day, and most importantly the fun and laughter that invariably accompanies a wedding.
The package is simple - For me and another fully independent professional wedding photographer to cover your whole day from preparations through to first dance, with digital images on a private gallery the cost is £1195.
For me to shoot your day just with an assistant, the cost is £895
Contact me if you'd like to talk about how we could shoot your wedding day, or any special requirements that you have - we would love to be part of it. Engagement shoots, pre-wedding solo or couple boudoir, trash the dress and 'stay until everyone passes out' options can all be added if required!
